Selection process

The scholarship awarding is based on a quality-oriented selection process, taking into account academic qualification and personal suitability.

Upon submission, the application documents will be checked first for completeness and subsequently evaluated. There are at least two reviewers evaluating the documents using a standardized evaluation form. Key categories for the evaluation of the documents are your grades, language skills, your extracurricular activities, the quality of your letter of motivation (and for theses abroad of your exposé), and how important the stay abroad is for your studies and your future career.

The selection process lasts about 1 to 2 months, starting after the application deadline. Afterwards, you will be informed of the selection committee's decision by email. In case you are awarded a scholarship, you will have to upload it as a scan of the signed scholarship contract to the database Mobility Online (where you have applied online) within 10 days and you will also have to send us an original version of it with your signature in the original (i.e. with a wet ink signature) by post within 10 days.
