Students enrolled at the University of Freiburg must register for each new semester during the registration periods listed below. In order to register for the semester, you must transfer the student activity and administrative fees according to the procedure described below. If you have not completed your registration by the end of a semester, you will be exmatriculated automatically. Exmatriculation ends your status as a student. Upon completing your course of study at the university (e.g., earn a degree), you should apply for exmatriculation.

You have the option to re-register online with a direct debit. To do this, create a direct debit mandate in the campus management HISinOne in your personal area under "Studienservice" and, in a second step, a direct debit order (Attention: this is only possible for your own account, i.e. you must be the account holder).

Alternatively, you can transfer the contribution to the account of the Universitätskasse:

The receipt of payment at the University Cashier's Office is decisive for re-registration. If the transfer amount is received by the University Cashier's Office after February 15 and not later than March 20 (for reregistration Sommersemester) or August 15 and not later than 20 September (for reregistration Wintersemester) you will also have to pay a late fee for late re-registration in the amount of 10,- Euro. 
If you do not re-register, take leave of absence or exmatriculate yourself by 20 March or 20 September, we will have to exmatriculate you ex officio.

Please indicate only the corresponding semester directly followed by your matriculation number in the purpose of your transfer. For the summer semester 2022 the semester prefix is 20221, for the winter semester 2022/2023 it is 20222. So in the purpose of your transfer for the re-registration for the winter semester 2022/2023 please write e.g.: 202221234567 (i.e. 20222 before your matriculation number). In order to enable an automatic allocation and faster processing, please do not enter any blanks or additional extensions! Please note: If you have transferred the semester fees, it may take up to 14 days until your re-registration is noted in the system.

Since summer semester 2008, the university offers an alternative registration procedure. With the help of the online Campus Management system HISinOne you can register for the coming semester online at https://campus.uni-freiburg.de and pay your fees by direct debit (from a European financial institution - SEPA). Furthermore are currently only payments by bank transfer possible.

In addition to the possibility of registering, the online system also enables students to change their contact information (mailing address and telephone number) and print out certificates of enrollment on their own.

Questions about the RZ-Account can be answered by the RZ User Service, questions about re-registration in general (e.g. blocking, deadlines, ...) by the Registration Office.
