First-year student day 2025
In keeping with tradition, the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg will once welcome first-year students to the Europa-Park stadium of SC Freiburg this year. The first-year student day will take place on Friday, October 10. All new students, their families and friends, as well as students in higher semesters, are warmly invited to attend.
We would like to thank everyone involved, especially SC Freiburg, TecStage Veranstaltungstechnik, Flogaus Dienstleistungen, uniFM and the Showteam Matrix.
Program
Admission from 1 PM via the entrance E4 Guests.
Food and drinks can be purchased in the stadium.
2 PM Welcome
- Interview with Hanno Franke (Head of Marketing and Sustainability SC Freiburg) and Alina Axtmann (Bundesliga player, SC Freiburg)
- Welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Stefan Rensing (Vice Rector for Research and Innocation)
- Welcome speech by the students’ council
- Show performance “Daughter” by the Showteam Matrix under the direction of Christina Plötze
2.30 PM ”Markt der Möglichkeiten“
- Get to know the central facilities of the University of Freiburg, the student representation StuRa and numerous student communities, groups, associations and partners. Here you can find information, get involved and immerse yourself in life and studying in Freiburg.
5.00 PM End of the event
Express your interest in the event already today and register via HISinOne "Studienstart Universität Freiburg". However, registration is not mandatory. You are very welcome to drop by on the day even without registering.

Tickets for SC Freiburg
SC Freiburg is giving away a free ticket for a home game in the Dreisamstadion (U23 men, Regionalliga Südwest or women's Bundesliga) to all first-year students. Pick up your ticket voucher directly at the entrance.
