Application process

Step 1: Please first make sure that you fulfill all requirements for an application (see „Target group“),  that your project is suitable for DAAD-PROMOS funding (see „Programme lines“) and that you are still on time (see  Application deadlines).

Afterwards, please take enough time to create all documents according to our requirements!

Please refer to the corresponding checklist in the „Progamme Lines“ section to find out which documents you must submit online.

When preparing the documents, please consider the tips and requirements mentioned in the respective checklist and please also read the FAQs with further details carefully. For example, in the motivation letter, all points listed in the checklist should be sufficiently explained, only then will you receive full points in this category! So, for example, regarding the contents of an internship, please do not just write "I am doing an internship in surgery", but also explain which tasks you will carry out and what this has to do with previous (and possibly also future) study contents and your (professional) goals. Please prepare the CV as described in the checklist and please also make sure that the letter of acceptance from abroad corresponds to our specifications in the checklist - often, for example, the specification of the working language is forgotten.

Step 2: Online application: Once you have resolved all questions, please online. Unfortunately, the online system does not work with all browsers. In case of problems, please use another browser (Firefox works). Please select the correct progamme line, complete all mandatory fields and upload the documents listed in the correspong checklist. In case of any doubts, please contact us before submitting your online application. Please also save your access data for the online platform Mobility Online, where you apply online, because you will have to upload some documents there later, in case you receive the scholarship.

Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that the application reaches us on time, in full and according to the requirements before the end of the respective deadline. If possible, please do not apply shortly before a deadline so that there is still time to react in case of errors or incompleteness.
