    Kick-Off with „Speed-Friending"

At our first International Stammtisch about 20 international students from all over the world and from different fields of study gathered together in a Freiburg restaurant. Divided into small groups, everyone rotated clockwise around the long table in order to keep making new acquaintances. The speed friending was supported by some prompts so that it was easy to quickly interact and communicate with others!

    Freiburg – tips and tricks
    zweiter stammtisch web

zweiter stammtisch mindmap webWhere do we like to do sports? Who has already taken a day trip to Switzerland, France or the Black Forest? Which restaurant do we prefer to go to? And where is a good café? What tips do others have and what else would we like to do around Freiburg and in the city? We discussed all of this intensively on Friday, passed on our own tips but also received many new suggestions and ideas.

  • 15.06.2022, 19:00-21:00
    German language

For this international Stammtisch we decided to plan a little trivia night with different categories. We learned a lot about different dialects, tongue twisters and German sayings. We also tried pronouncing difficult German words, amongst other things the longest German word since 1996 in the Guinness Book of Records.

  • 29.06.2022, 20:00-22:00
    All about traveling

Our fourth International Stammtisch took place with nice weather and cool drinks. We talked about our previous travel experiences and adventurous activities like bungee jumping and roller coasters. We told each other where we would like to travel in the future and which countries are on our bucket list. It was a fun evening being out.

    Ethnic Dinner, Throwback to Childhood
We meet up on a nice summer night to talk about our childhoods and different cultures. We started off by talking about some of our childhood memories, talked about different languages, traditional food and exchanged ideas about what cities to visit, what books to read and movies to watch.

  • Speed Friending, 12.10.2022

For the first international Stammtisch this semester, we met in a restaurant and had an opportunity to make new acquaintances through the popular "Speed Friending" concept. Each person had 5 minutes to talk to the other person, then we rotated clockwise and got to know even more people! While some talked about their hobbies or favorite foods, others discussed different fields of study and exchanged tips and tricks about Freiburg.

  • Impression Stammtisch, 02.11.2022

This time, our international Stammtisch was all about Freiburg. In order to get to know each other better, we first played the game "1 truth 2 lies". After that we split up into smaller groups and talked intensively about Freiburg. We found out which cafés make the best coffee, where one can find the best food and which places one should definitely visit. Through this exchange of ideas, each person could not only learn something new about Freiburg, but also get useful tips and tricks about the city.

Through various interactive offers, we could approach the spirit of the old days and learn how heavy the Roman soldier's armor was.
