Exemption from Study Fees

Students in their second degree program and international students are subject to study fees. However, students with a disability that considerably impairs their studies in accordance with § 2 SGB IX can apply for an exemption from these fees.

Long-term Care and Health Insurance

Students who are enrolled at state or state-recognized universities are required to have health and long-term care insurance. Depending on your country of origin and your current health care insurance, you may or may not have to take out a statutory health insurance in Germany.
