What are the Welcome Days?
The conditions of study at the University of Freiburg will be entirely new for you. In addition, you will be studying in an environment that you are not used to. In order to prepare new international students for their studies at the University of Freiburg, the International Office has therefore gathered a lot of information from different areas of study and life in Freiburg in several videos for the newly admitted international students. You will find the links to the presentations further down on this page. We strongly recommend that you watch all videos. We are sure that the many different pieces of information will contribute positively to your success in your studies and will make it easier for you to settle down in Freiburg.

Welcome Day for all international students
Due to the high incidence, the Welcome Day will be offered Online this semester. In order to make your start in Freiburg as easy as possible, the International Office has made videos on the important topics about the SLI, the Studierendenwerk and the German health insurance system etc., which you can watch comfortably at home. The presentations can be seen under the tab "Presentations of the Welcome Days".
In addition, the International Office is organizing an online meeting for all international incoming students on 08.04.2022 at 2pm, where there will be a chance to have your questions answered.
